Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Planning Engineer to join our project team. The successful candidate will play a supporting role in the planning and scheduling of construction projects, assisting in the development, monitoring, and updating of project schedules to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. This position is ideal for an individual looking to grow their career in project planning within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and updating of project schedules, including baselines and progress updates, using planning software.
  • Gather and compile project data for performance monitoring and progress reporting.
  • Contribute to the identification of project milestones, critical path activities, and potential schedule risks.
  • Support the project team in understanding construction processes and the overall project lifecycle.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power BI) for data analysis, reporting, and presentation of planning information.
  • Help in preparing various reports, including progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and resource histograms.
  • Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and other stakeholders to collect necessary planning inputs and disseminate schedule information.
  • Maintain organized project documentation related to planning and scheduling.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Basic knowledge of project planning software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Power BI.
  • Fundamental understanding of construction processes and project lifecycles.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze data for project performance monitoring.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a1 team environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
